Berberis alkaloids. XXV. Structures of bernumidine and bernumicine

Abstract

The alkaloid compositions of young shoots and leaves ofBerberis nummularia Bge. have been studied. The new alkaloids bernumidine (II) and bernumicine (III) have been isolated from the leaves, and their structures have been established.
