Conclusion
The number of Chinese receiving their education in Mandarin will continue to increase steadily as a result of the implementation of essentially similar national language policies in the People's Republic of China, and in the Republic of China on Taiwan. The import of these policies will also be reflected in language developments in other Chinese communities such as Hong Kong and Singapore.
