Combination of differential thermoanalysis and mass spectrometry — A new approach to the investigation of metal complexes

Summary

A coupling system is introduced and discussed for the combination of a simultaneous TG-DTA apparatus with a quadrupol mass spectrometer. The operation of this combined system is demonstrated by the thermal degradation of beryllium chelates and by simultaneous investigation of their fragmentation patterns in the mass spectrometer.

Zusammenfassung

Ein Kopplungssystem für die Thermogravimetrie-Differentialthermoanalyse mit der Massenspektrometrie wird beschrieben. Die Arbeitsweise und die Vorzüge dieses Systems werden am thermischen Abbau und der simultanen massenspektrometrischen Untersuchung von Berylliumchelaten dargestellt.
