Der Einfluss der Belichtung auf Die NADP+-Abhängige Glycerinaldehyd-3-Phosphat-Dehydrogenase

The influence of light on the NADP+-dependent glycerinaldehyde-3-phosphate-dehydrogenase

Planta Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

  1. 1.

In green leaves of the Angiospermae investigated here illumination causes a reversible increase in activity of NADP+-dependent glycerinaldehyde-3-phosphatedehydrogenase compared with the dark values.

  2. 2.

Illumination does not show this effect on the NAD+-dependent enzyme.

  3. 3.

Changing from dark to light and vice versa the new level of activity (by the present conditions) is attained in about 20 minutes.

  4. 4.

The light-induced increase of activity also takes place in CO2-free atmosphere as well as after application of actinomycin C.

  5. 5.

Chloramphenicol blocks the effect of light.

  6. 6.

It is concluded that illumination causes an increased synthesis of the NADP+-dependent GPD and it is supposed that this is caused by the increased supply of cofactors.

Zusammenfassung

  1. 1.
