Regional assignment of red cell acid phosphatase locus to band 2p25

Summary

Cytogenetic and enzyme studies of a child trisomic for 6p and monosomic for band 2p25 are reported. A tentative assignment of the ACP 1 gene locus to band 2p25 is suggested by a 50% decrease in red cell acid phosphatase activity.
