Abstract
The shapes of spectral features (lines) to be expected from rotating or expanding fine solar filaments, loops, and knots (oriented variously to the spectrograph slit) are given and discussed. Only the appearance of the lines in the spectrum (i.e., their orientation to the direction of dispersion and the shape of their area) is considered. It is shown that the observed inclination to the direction of dispersion of some spectral features can be produced by rotation but not by expansion. The observational evidences are given.
