Part of the book series: Profiles ((PROF,volume 1))

Abstract

As should be evident, there is much that I agree with in the comments and criticisms of my work included in this volume. In this sense, it is perhaps incorrect to entitle my own further remarks as replies. What I have tried to do in several cases is to amplify my own views even where there is no real disagreement between the comments made and my own philosophical position. On the other hand, I do not want to overemphasize a tone of sweetness and light. I enjoy a good argument too much not to take this occasion to state points of disagreement.
