Zusammenfassung
Achtsamkeit ermöglicht es Personen die Gegenwart in offener, nicht wertender Weise bewusst zu erleben (Bishop et al. 2004; Brown und Ryan 2003). Sie befähigt dadurch zum selbstregulierten Umgang mit Gedanken und Gefühlen. In diesem Kapitel wird das Konzept der Achtsamkeit vorgestellt und aufgezeigt, wie Achtsamkeitstechniken im Coaching eingesetzt werden können. Der Einsatz von Achtsamkeitsstrategien fördert nicht nur die Fokussierung auf den Coachingprozess, sondern kann auch zur Bearbeitung bestimmter Fragestellungen des Klienten, wie zum Beispiel Stressreduktion oder Förderung von Work-Life-Balance, beitragen.
