Der Hyperparathyreoidismus unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Ostitis fibrosa generalisata (Recklinghausen)

Zusammenfassung

Die Auffassung über das Wesen der Ostitis fibrosa generalisata (O. f. g.) war seit der Mitteilung von Engel 1864 und der grundlegenden Beschreibung durch V. Recklinghausen 1891 einem vielfachen Wandel unterworfen. Scheint die Symptomatologie der Erkrankung heute exakt bestimmt, die Therapie einheitlich festgelegt, so bestehen nach wie vor bezüglich der Genese unterschiedliche Meinungen. Der alte Streit, ob die O. f. g. eine Folge der überschüssigen Hormonproduktion der EK bei primärer Erkrankung derselben sei, oder ob es sich hierbei um ein kompensatorisches Geschehen handele mit dem Ziel, eine außerhalb der Drüse gelegene Störung auszugleichen, flammte von neuem auf. Die Klärung dieser Frage scheiterte nicht zuletzt daran, daß über den Wirkungsmodus des EK-Hormons keine exakten Kenntnisse vorliegen.
