Summary
We present experimental results on the excitation of a laminar boundary layer to stream turbulence sound and plate vibration. Excitations by sound can be cancelled using leading edge vibration. An adverse pressure gradient near the leading edge is shown to be a powerful mechanism for increasing the receptivity of the boundary layer to sound excitation.
