Abstract

The Kiel Pediatric Tumor Registry (KPTR) was set up in 1977 as the (morphological) Central Tumor Registry of the German Society of Pediatric Oncology. The principle functions of this registry are: (a) to collect and evaluate tumor specimens; (b) to provide consultation on and classification and grading of tumors; (c) to publish acquired knowledge and new data; and (d) to function as a reference center in cooperative therapy study.
