Klinisches versus inzidentes Prostatakarzinom: Pathomorphologische Aspekte als Therapiegrundlage

Konservative Therapie des Prostatakarzinoms

Zusammenfassung

Klinisches und inzidentes Prostatakarzinom stellen aus der Sicht des Pathologen wie des Urologen zwei in vieler Hinsicht differente Neoplasien dieses Organs dar (Mostofi u. Price 1973, Dhom u. Hautumm 1975, Schröder 1978, Kastendieck 1980, 1984, 1985). Gestützt auf morphologische Befunde sollen in den folgenden Ausführungen die unterschiedlichen Merkmale aufgezeigt werden, die für prognostische Wertungen und therapeutische Überlegungen herangezogen werden. Die Erkenntnisse resultieren aus der systematischen histopathologischen Auswertung von mehr als 400 totalen (radikalen) Prostatektomien, die während der vergangenen 15 Jahre in der Urologischen Abteilung unseres Hauses (Leitender Arzt: Dr. M. Bressel) wegen eines Karzinoms durchgeführt worden sind, und den im Prostataresektionsmaterial zufällig entdeckten Karzinomen bei nahezu 600 klinisch tumorfreien Patienten des Zeitraums 1984–1986.
