Abstract

Obstructive sleep apnea in Western countries is a frequently encountered disease with a progressive course and serious sequelae. Its important aspects have been extensively reviewed [12]. Effective long-term therapy should combine high efficacy with minimal side effects and absence of risks. This ideal therapeutic method is still missing. Current methods of treatment and their published results are summarized in Table 1.
