Zusammenfassung
Beim Erwachsenen ist das Nebennierenrindenkarzinom eine seltene Erkrankung. Nach einer Übersicht aus den USA ist mit einem Fall auf 1,7 Mio. Einwohner zu rechnen, das sind umgerechnet etwa 0,02% aller Krebsfälle [12]. Zur Altersverteilung ergab eine Zusammenstellung von 42 Fällen, daß die Erkrankung in jedem Alter vorkommen kann, daß aber eine Häufung im 6. Lebensjahrzehnt vorliegt. Ent-gegen früheren Daten ist die Erkrankung bei Frauen nicht häufiger als bei Männern. Hormoninaktive Tumoren sind häufiger als hormonaktive [4], vermutlich eine Folge der zunehmenden Erkennung hormonell stummer Tumoren durch Sonographie und Computertomographie.
