Abstract

The subject of the study was the transdermal therapeutic system, Nitroderm TTS, which has recently been developed for the long-term prophylaxis of angina pectoris attacks. The aim of the study was to determine whether the use of Nitroderm TTS represents a therapeutically and economically useful alternative to the preparations conventionally used for the same indication, namely the long-acting oral nitrates.
