Behandlung der Adipositas bei Diabetes mellitus

Zusammenfassung

Übergewicht und Adipositas spielen bei der Genese, Pathophysiologie, Therapie und Prognose des Tpy-2-Diabetes eine wichtige Rolle. Daher stellen die Verhinderung von Übergewicht bzw. Adipositas, die Reduktion von bestehendem Übergewicht bzw. Adipositas wie auch die Verhinderung einer erneuten Gewichtszunahme eine zentrale Therapiemaßnahme sowohl bei der Prävention als auch bei der Behandlung des Typ-2-Diabetes dar. Das primäre Ziel von Behandlungsmaßnahmen zur Gewichtsreduktion ist die Prävention des Typ-2-Diabetes und die Reduktion metabolischer und kardiovaskulärer Risiken. Zusammenfassend werden die wichtigsten Empfehlungen für Maßnahmen der Gewichtsreduktion für die Praxis dargestellt und exemplarisch die beiden strukturierten Behandlungsprogramme PRIMAS und MEDIAS 2 skizziert.
