Der weitgehend gesättigte deutsche Mobilfunkmarkt stellt Unternehmen aufgrund von grundlegenden Veränderungen, wie der steigenden Anzahl an Billiganbietern und den sich wandelnden Konsumentenbedürfnissen, vor anspruchsvolle Herausforderungen. Viele Anbieter haben Schwierigkeiten, auf dynamische Entwicklungen mit zeitnahen Angeboten zu reagieren, um nicht Marktanteile einbüßen zu müssen. Durch emotionale Kundenbindung wird es Mobilfunkanbietern möglich, kompetitive Wettbewerbsvorteile zu sichern. Aufbauend auf dem Konstrukt der Markenliebe belegt diese empirische Untersuchung die positiven Auswirkungen emotionaler Kundenbindung auf das Konsumentenverhalten. Daraus resultieren erhöhte Premiumpreisbereitschaft, aktives Weiterempfehlungsverhalten, starke Wiederkaufabsicht sowie die Tendenz der Mobilfunkmarke Fehler zu verzeihen.
