Zusammenfassung
Netzwerke finden heute in allen Bereichen moderner Gesellschaften viel Aufmerksamkeit. Deren Bedeutung für die Arbeitsorganisation steht dabei zumeist nicht im Mittelpunkt. Gerade in westlichen Industriestaaten ist die reflexive Gestaltung von Vernetzung Moment eines Strukturwandels der Arbeitsorganisation, der seinen Ausdruck in der Pluralisierung parallel verfolgter Formen der Organisation von Arbeit findet und die in Netzwerke eingebundenen Organisationen und in ihnen Beschäftigte in ein besonderes Verhältnis von Kooperation und Konkurrenz setzt. Will man die angesprochenen komplexen Veränderungen analysieren und erklären, dann benötigt man einen Netzwerkbegriff und Netzwerktheorien. Diese stelle ich in aller Kürze ausgehend von im weltweiten Netzwerkdiskurs heute relevanten Theorieansätzen vor, um auf dieser Grundlage konzeptionell die Spezifik des netzwerkförmigen Verhältnisses von Kooperation und Konkurrenz und der netzwerkartigen Ausgestaltung von Arbeitsorganisation und deren zeitdiagnostische Bedeutung zu umreißen.
