Die andere Dimension des Spiels: streetfootballworld festival 06 – zur Rekonstruktion der Verknüpfung von Gewalt, Verwundbarkeit und Identität über Erinnerung, Gedächtnis, Kommunikation und Raum

Zusammenfassung

Deutschland feierte Premiere – mit dem streetfootballworld festival 06 in Berlin wurde zum ersten Mal eine Straßenfußballweltmeisterschaft während einer Fußball- Weltmeisterschaft veranstaltet. Für die international agierende social-profitorganisation streetfootballworld war das festival 06 ein Höhepunkt ihrer Arbeit, mit der die Mitgliedsorganisationen des von streetfootballworld koordinierten globalen Netzwerks die andere Dimension des Spiels ins Zentrum rücken. Kernanliegen der Arbeit von streetfootballworld ist es, benachteiligten und bedrohten Kindern und Jugendlichen weltweit die Möglichkeit gewaltfreier Konfliktlösung, Chancen zur Integration und einer selbstbestimmten Zukunft zu schaffen. Zusammen mit den Organisationen aus dem streetfootballworld Netzwerk schöpft streetfootballworld aus dem Pool erfolgreicher Ansätze im Bereich Entwicklung durch Fußball und entwickelt neue, innovative Lösungen für soziale Herausforderungen. Am Beispiel von „Fútbol por la Paz“ - „Fußball für den Frieden“ in Medellín (Kolumbien), wo eine dieser lokalen Erfolgsgeschichten ihren Anfang nahm, wird die Verknüpfung zwischen Gewalt, Verwundbarkeit und Identität über Erinnerung, Gedächtnis, Kommunikation und Raum rekonstruiert. Seit seiner Gründung 2002 ermöglicht streetfootballworld seinen Mitgliedern Wissen zu teilen, neue Partnerschaften aufzubauen und Inspiration für ihre Arbeit im Austausch mit den anderen zu finden. Diese werden dann in Investitionsmöglichkeiten übersetzt oder fließen in regionale und globale Entwicklungsstrategien ein.

Abstract

Germany celebrated a premiere – with the streetfootballworld festival 06 in Berlin, for the first time a street football word championship took place during the FIFA World Cup. For the internationally operating social-profit-organisation streetfootballworld, the festival 06 was the climax of its work. The organisation members of the global network coordinated by streetfootballworld are bringing another dimension of the play into focus. The main concern of streetfootballworld’s work is to give disadvantaged and endangered children and youngsters all over the world the opportunity of non-violent conflict resolution, chances of integration and a self-determined future. Streetfootballworld, together with its organisations of the global network, uses ideas from a pool of successful approaches in the field of development by football and creates new innovative solutions for social challenges. Using the example of „Fütbol por la Paz“ – „Football for Peace“ – in Medellín (Columbia) where one of these local success stories started, the link between violence, vulnerability and identity is reconstructed by using the concepts of recollection, memory, communication, space and place. Since its foundation in 2002, streetfootballworld enables its members to share knowledge, create new partnerships and to find inspiration for their work by intercommunication with others. Afterwards these opportunities are translated in investment potentials and integrated into regional and global development strategies.
