Zusammenfassung

Die Theorie der Sozialen Identität von Henri Tajfel und John Turner (1979, 1986) ist eine sozialpsychologische Theorie intergruppaler Prozesse. Ziel der Theorie ist es, intergruppale Differenzierungsprozesse, die vor allem durch Konflikte zwischen Gruppen gekennzeichnet sind, zu erklären. Der Fokus ist dabei auf das Individuum gerichtet: Warum grenzen Individuen ihre Bezugsgruppe gegen andere Gruppen ab? Warum werten Individuen Fremdgruppen ab?
