Abstract
The purpose of this chapter is to introduce concepts of metabolic management in patients who are candidates for regenerative medicine treatments. We believe in the strong link between degenerative diseases and chronic inflammation. For this reason, we consider that all measures capable of decreasing the degree of inflammation in our body are appropriate for the preparation of the patient. We will briefly discuss the role of sleep and gut microbiome in the body’s homeostasis, as well as the hormone balance, especially when it comes to tendinopathies and arthritis, in order to pose the patient in a suitable position for the regenerative procedures.
