Summary

A method is described for the isolation of mandelamidase constitutive mutants ofPseudomonas putida in continuous culture. Growth was nitrogen-limited and the nitrogen was provided either as inducing substrate (mandelamide) or non-inducing substrate (isobutyramide) alternately.
