Zusammenfassung

Ventrikuläre Tachyarrhythmien stellen potentiell lebensbedrohliche Rhythmusstörungen dar, die zum akuten Herztod oder zumindest zu häufigen stationären Aufenthalten führen können. Besonders hoch ist die Mortalität bei denjenigen Patienten, die bereits außerhalb der Klinik wegen einer ventrikulären Tachykardie oder Kammerflimmern erfolgreich reanimiert wurden und bei denen sich zu diesem Zeitpunkt kein Hinweis auf ein akutes Infarktgeschehen finden läßt. Trotz antiarrhythmischer Behandlung sirbt ein beträchtlicher Prozentsatz dieser Patienten innerhalb einer kurzen Beobachtungszeit. Wegen des oft nur sporadischen Charakters dieser Arrhythmien ist die Kontrolle der Wirksamkeit einer antiarrhythmischen Prophylaxe problematisch.
