Special Issue: Wnt signaling in development, disease and cancer

Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to announce the special issue of "Wnt signaling in development, disease and cancer" in In Vitro Cellular & Developmental Biology-Animal journal, guest-edited by Professor Akira Kikuchi (Osaka University, Japan).

Wnt genes and components of Wnt signaling have been implicated in a diverse array of significant biological phenomena, ranging from early organismal development to cellular behaviors and various diseases. The field of Wnt signaling emerged subsequent to the discovery of the initial mammalian Wnt gene in 1982, which marked its 40th anniversary in the preceding year, 2022. The past four decades have witnessed tremendous progress in Wnt research, and this collection of reviews highlights key topics such as signaling, gene expression, cell polarity, organ development, and diseases.

The submission deadline is expected to be November this year.

Keywords:

Wnt signaling, gene expression, canonical pathway, PCP pathway, cell polarity, cell migration, development, molecular target, disease, cancer

We look forward to your contribution in this special issue.
