Dr Didier Mazon is a plasma physicist and presently Deputy Leader of the Fusion Plasma Physics Department at IRFM CEA Cadarache (France) and Chair of the ITPA Topical Group Diagnostics. He coordinates the diagnostics and control activities in preparation of ITER and DEMO, as well as the diagnostics activities in the European Tokamaks. His research interests include the understanding and control of internal transport barriers, control systems, plasma equilibrium and impurity transport studies. Didier published more than 200 articles in renowned international journals and conferences, and is co-author of several patents.
