Abstract
Wireless body area network as a promising technology has been widely known can make the medical system more convenient. However, the rise of cloud computing and smart medical system has made patient data quite fragile. In this case, a perfect authentication system is particularly important. A secured authentication system ensures that only legitimate patients can obtain permission to access the information. This paper reviews and points out the shortcomings of the Sharma et al.’s scheme in terms of forward security and analyzes that the scheme cannot resist some attacks. We propose an improved scheme. The security and the performance analysis show the proposed scheme is more secure and efficient.
