H. pylori, gastrin and somatostatin

  • Chapter
Helicobacter pylori

Abstract

Helicobacter pylori causes duodenal ulcers (DU), and various lines of research are examining the roles of bacterial and host factors in this effect. We and others have examined whether the abnormalities of gastroduodenal physiology that were previously described in DU disease are actually due to H. pylori infection.
