Abstract
We report the first detection of the NH3 (1,1) and (2,2) inversion lines, and the rotational transition J=21–20 of HC7N (at ~23.7 GHz) in the Egg Nebula (CRL 2688). The observations were carried out in March and April 1983, using the Effelsberg radiotelescope. The beamwidth of the instrument at 23.7 GHz was ~40” and the velocity resolution was ~1.2 km s-1.
