Abstract
Hepatocellular carcinoma presents clinically in many diverse ways. The variety of the presenta-tions stems partly from the different biological characteristics of hepatocellular carcinoma in high- and low-incidence regions and partly from the wide range of paraneoplastic phenomena which may precede the local manifestations of the tumor.
