Menschen mit neurologischen Erkrankungen erfahren häufig einen Verlust der Lautsprache, der eine Unterstützung der Kommunikation mit alternativen Methoden und Mitteln zum Erhalt oder zur Wiederherstellung von Teilhabe notwendig macht. Das Kapitel gibt einen Überblick zu Definitionen, Zielgruppen, Zielen, Mitteln, Methoden und Prinzipien des Konzepts der Unterstützten Kommunikation.
