Zusammenfassung
Wenn die Rechte von Frauen gestärkt werden, führt dies zur Verbesserung ganzer Gesellschaften, Volkswirtschaften und Unternehmen; doch das Tempo der Veränderung ist schleichend. Vor allem bei den Lieferketten wird sich nicht genügend auf die Stärkung der Rolle von Frauen konzentriert. Die Ermächtigung von Frauen muss jedoch ganzheitlich angegangen werden, denn die Herausforderungen zu überwinden, denen Frauen dort begegnen, würde zu widerstandsfähigeren Lieferketten führen, Produktinnovation ankurbeln, die Nachfrage von Verbraucher*innen steigern sowie das Ansehen und die globalen Geschäfte von Unternehmen verbessern. Um die Ermächtigung von Frauen nachhaltig zu etablieren, haben UN Women und The DO School gemeinsam den Industry Disruptor entwickelt. Dieser ist ein Modell dafür, wie Kooperationen, weibliches Unternehmertum und Bildung genutzt werden können, um umfassende Veränderungen in den Lieferketten herbeizuführen. Dabei lassen sich zwei Hauptaspekte herauskristallisieren, die notwendig sind, um bei der Stärkung der Rollen von Frauen in Lieferketten einen bedeutenden Schritt vorwärts zu kommen: Engagement und Entschlossenheit von Unternehmen, relevante Maßnahmen umzusetzen sowie ein ökosystemorientierter Ansatz, der sicherstellt, dass Mädchen und Frauen von Anfang an dazu ermächtigt werden, als Geschäftsfrauen erfolgreich zu sein. Es bedarf eines ganzheitlichen, integrierten und strategischen Ansatzes, um die Gleichberechtigung der Geschlechter zu erreichen.
