Zusammenfassung

Die Wahl des Zugangsweges und die korrekte Durchführung entscheidet in hohem Maße über den Erfolg und die Sicherheit der endovaskulären Therapie arterieller Obstruktionen. Neben den Standard-Zugangswegen über die A. femoralis communis (AFC) und A. brachialis kann eine perkutane transluminale Angioplastie (PTA) über eine Reihe anderer Arterien durchgeführt werden. Diese Zugänge werden insbesondere als Alternativen genutzt, wenn eine Behandlung über die «klassischen» Zugänge nicht erfolgreich ist. Sie bilden den Schwerpunkt in diesem Kapitel.
