Zusammenfassung
Die häufigste Ursache der spontanen intrazerebralen Blutung ist der Bluthochdruck. Die Symptomatik entwickelt sich, wie bei zerebralen Durchblutungsstörungen, meist rasch (»Schlaganfall«). Spontane intrazerebrale Blutungen sind für etwa 10–15% aller Schlaganfälle verantwortlich. Aus der Symptomatik lässt sich nur selten darauf schließen, ob eine Blutung oder Durchblutungsstörung zugrunde liegt. Dies ist jedoch für die Therapie von entscheidender Bedeutung. Zur Klärung sind bildgebende Verfahren (primär CT) erforderlich; diese geben oft auch Hinweise auf die Ursache einer Blutung.
