Abstract

Microprobes have been used for biological research to an extent which may surprise this audience; it certainly surprised the speaker when he compiled a bibliography. The number of publications amounted to 82. Furthermore, most of the papers now report actual biological research instead of the evaluation of possibilities which prevailed in the early days.
