Zusammenfassung
Der Stellenwert der supportiven Therapie mit Granulozyten war in den letzten Jahren umstritten, v a. wegen der kurzen Verweildauer von Granulozyten in den Gefäßen, ihrer Labilität bei und nach der Isolierung aus dem Blut und den Schwierigkeiten, therapeutisch ausreichende Mengen in kurzer Folge von gesunden Blutspendern zu gewinnen. Durch den Einsatz von rekombinanten granulozytenstimulierenden Hormonen bei gesunden Spendern zeichnet sich eine gewisse Renaissance, v a. in der Behandlung von Kindern, ab.
