Zusammenfassung

Nozizeption ist bereits ab der 20.–22. Schwangerschaftswoche (SSW) möglich. Kortikale Schmerzverarbeitung geschieht ab der 24. Schwangerschaftswoche [291]. Dabei ist bei Früh- und Neugeborenen das zentrale Schmerzhemmungssystem deutlich schlechter ausgebildet als das nozizeptive System, sodass beim Früh- und Neugeborenen generell vom Überwiegen nozizeptiven Stresses auszugehen ist.
