Zusammenfassung
Ein an chronischen Schmerzen leidendes Familienmitglied hat einen bedeutsamen Einfluss auf das alltägliche Leben von Partnern und Familienmitgliedern. Ebenso liegen empirische Befunde dazu vor, dass das Verhalten von Familienmitgliedern oder Partnern von Schmerzpatienten eine wichtige Rolle bei der Chronifizierung von Schmerzen spielt. Weiterhin wird der Umgang mit Krankheiten und Verletzungen in mannigfaltiger Weise durch familiäre Normen geprägt.
