Zusammenfassung
Vor der Coronavirus Pandemie verzeichnete der Architectural Engineering and Construction (AEC) Sektor ein Investitionsvolumen von fast 12.000 Mrd. US$ und trug etwa 15 % zum globalen Bruttoinlandsprodukt (BIP) bei (Mazhar und Arain 2015). Trotz Spekulationen über einen möglichen wirtschaftlichen Abschwung – aufgrund der geopolitischen Krisen und Engpässe bei der Rohstoffversorgung in den Jahren nach der Pandemie – wird der Sektor bis 2027 nur in Deutschland voraussichtlich ein Umsatzvolumen von 606,49 Mrd. € mit einer Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) von 5,92 % erreichen.
