Zusammenfassung

Der Beitrag beleuchtet die Fridays for Future-Bewegung aus der Sicht der Protest- und Bewegungsforschung. Hierzu werden in einem ersten Schritt zentrale Fragen und Ansätze dieser Forschung aus der Makro-, Meso- und Mikroperspektive skizziert, darunter das Verständnis von Protest als Ausdruck gesellschaftlicher Transformationsprozesse, die Rolle von Gelegenheitsstrukturen, Fragen von Ressourcen, Framing und Repertoires, die individuellen Bedingungen von Protest sowie dessen Auswirkungen auf Kultur, Politik und Gesellschaft. In einem zweiten Schritt bietet der Beitrag einen Überblick zur bisherigen Forschung zu diesen zentralen Dimensionen am Beispiel der Fridays for Future-Bewegung und identifiziert Bereiche, die bisher weniger stark Berücksichtigung gefunden haben.
