Zusammenfassung
Physician Assistant ist in Deutschland ein junger und innovativer akademischer Gesundheitsberuf. Seinen Ursprung hat der Physician Assistant in den USA und ist dort aus dem Gesundheitssystem nicht mehr wegzudenken. Physician Assistants können auf Delegationsbasis anspruchsvolle medizinische Tätigkeiten durchführen. Sie unterstützen die Ärzteschaft, verbessern Prozesse und steigern die Patientenzufriedenheit. Grundlage sind eine abgeschlossene Ausbildung in einem patientennahem Gesundheits(fach)beruf und ein Bachelorstudium. Nach abgeschlossenem Studium bieten sich den Absolventen interessante Berufsmöglichkeiten in allen Bereichen der Medizin.
