Zusammenfassung
Die Zunahme des Konsums digitaler Spiele rückt diese bezüglich ihres kulturellen und gesellschaftlichen Werts in den Blick verschiedenster Parteien. Aus psychologischer und psychotherapeutischer Perspektive können Videospiele einen wertvollen Beitrag zur Kommunikation und zur Bearbeitung seelischer Zustände leisten. Anhand eines Fallbeispiels werden mögliche Verstehenszugänge aus der Rezeptionsforschung und der analytischen Psychotherapie nach C.G. Jung diskutiert. Der Text zeigt darüber hinaus auf, wie digitale Spiele außerhalb der Psychotherapie genutzt werden können, um Gespräche über inneres Erleben und die mentale Gesundheit zu erleichtern.
