Zusammenfassung
Die Methodik der Kriminalprognose wird erläutert, unter Bezugnahme auf einschlägige Prognosebereiche, den Gefährlichkeitsbegriff und das Konzept der Basisrate. Nach einer Darstellung der Entwicklungslinien kriminalprognostischer Methoden werden diesbezüglich erkenntnistheoretische Probleme erörtert: Die Ableitung von Entscheidungen aus probabilistischen Daten sowie der Übertrag von Gruppenkennwerten auf Einzelfälle. Subjektive Wahrscheinlichkeiten sowie Kredibilitätsintervalle werden als Lösung vorgeschlagen und anhand eines Beispiels beschrieben.
