Zusammenfassung
Macht kann als ein Schlüsselkonzept menschlicher Interaktion im Allgemeinen und internationaler Politik im Besonderen gelten. Ausgehend von dieser Beobachtung nimmt der Beitrag das Phänomen Macht in den Blick und diskutiert unterschiedliche Zugänge zu und Verständnisse von Macht in den internationalen Beziehungen. Es werden, im Anschluss an definitorische Annäherungen, unterschiedliche Konzeptionen und Spielarten von Macht unterschieden, zentrale Charakteristika herausgearbeitet und schließlich zeitgenössische Machtverschiebungen identifiziert. Ein Ausblick auf eine Forschungsagenda in konzeptioneller wie thematischer Hinsicht schließt den Beitrag ab.
