Zusammenfassung

Populismus in Argentinien ist eng mit Peronismus verbunden, einer Bewegung, die 1945 von Juan Perón begründet wurde und seitdem in 39 von 75 Jahren das Land regierte. Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden verschiedene historische Manifestationen des argentinischen Populismus peronistischer Prägung untersucht, die Ära Perón und die Regierungszeiten der Präsidenten Menem und der Kirchners. Der lange existierende und regierende Peronismus bietet so eine sehr gute Grundlage zur Analyse von Populismus an der Macht. Es zeigt sich, dass der Peronismus ein Beispiel für einen inklusiven Populismus ist, der zudem, trotz negativer Auswirkungen auf die Demokratiequalität, kompatibel mit Demokratie ist.
