Abstract
To succeed in digitalization, companies should pay attention to factors supporting digital innovations within a company while formulating their digitalization strategy. These factors are presented by the analysis of the own company, the competitors as well as firms from other industries with regards to their digitalization status, the involvement of customers and employees into the digital innovation process, the analysis of Big Data to better address the customer needs in digital innovations as well as rapid prototyping of digital innovation ideas. The fostering of the generation and implementation of digital innovations in service processes and products of a company by means of these factors contributes to a successful digital transformation of a company.
