Zusammenfassung
Ziel dieses Beitrags ist eine politikwissenschaftliche Einführung in das Verhältnis von Innovation und Legitimation in der Migrationspolitik. In Phasen der starken Flucht- und Einwanderungsbewegung entsteht ein migrationspolitisch umkämpftes Spannungsfeld aus Innovation und Legitimation. Kreative Neuerungen, die häufig von unten, aus Zivilgesellschaft und Kommunalpolitik, angestoßen werden, rufen Legitimationsprobleme hervor, weil strittig ist, was jeweils als innovativ, ausweitbar und dauerhaft gelten soll. Der Analyse dieses Spannungsfeldes stehen unterschiedliche theoretische Zugänge offen, die sodann erläutert werden. Im abschließenden Überblick über Konzept und Beiträge der Publikation wird ein policy-analytischer Zugang beschrieben, der sich methodisch auf den internationalen Vergleich und den interdisziplinären Dialog zwischen Politikwissenschaft und Sozialer Arbeit stützt.
