Zusammenfassung
Der Übergang in und die Zeit im Ruhestand kann für ältere Erwerbstätige herausfordernd sein. Eine besondere Herausforderung besteht darin, sich an das neue Ruhestands-Umfeld anzupassen, um physisches, funktionales und psychologisches Wohlbefinden aufrecht zu erhalten. Dies stellt (angehende) Ruheständler*innen vor die Herausforderung, sich zum einen an den Verlust der Arbeitsrolle zu gewöhnen, auf der anderen Seite aber auch Kontakte und Freundschaften außerhalb des Arbeitskontexts aufzubauen und den Alltag neu zu gestalten und zu strukturieren.
In diesem Kapitel werden zunächst relevante Theorien und Befunde dargestellt, die zeigen, wie ältere Erwerbstätige sich auf den Ruhestand vorbereiten, den Übergang in den Ruhestand gestalten und sich an die neue Lebensphase anpassen können. Anschließend wird ein Überblick über Interventionsansätze gegeben. Im besonderen Fokus steht dabei eine ressourcenorientierte Gruppenintervention, die von den Autorinnen im Rahmen des Forschungsprojektes ‚Zufrieden in den Ruhestand‘ entwickelt und evaluiert wurde. Interventionsinhalte des Programms und Evaluationsergebnisse werden in dem Kapitel präsentiert.
