Abstract
This thesis was based on the investigation and evaluation of two FAD-dependent halogenases, in order to analyze and improve their applicability for chemoenzymatic approaches in organic chemistry. In contrast, conventional strategies for halogenation require hazardous reagents, e. g. molecular halogens, and suffer from low selectivity. To circumvent this issue establishment of enzymatic halogenation arises as a promising alternative.
