Handbuch Qualitative Forschung in der Psychologie

Zusammenfassung

In diesem Beitrag werden die ideengeschichtlichen Ursprünge der Kulturpsychologie und ihre damit verbundenen methodologischen Positionen nachgezeichnet. Betont wird die kulturwissenschaftliche Perspektive auf psychische Phänomene, die in der Abhängigkeit von kulturell variierenden Lebensformen, Sprachspielen, Praktiken und Diskursen betrachtet und mit besonderem Interesse für damit zusammenhängende Bedeutungs- und Sinngebungsprozesse untersucht werden. Es wird erläutert, weshalb sich diese Zusammenhänge mit Methoden der vornehmlich naturwissenschaftlich ausgerichteten Mainstream-Psychologie nicht befriedigend analysieren lassen und warum kulturpsychologische Analysen insbesondere auf interpretative Verfahren und interdisziplinäre Befunde zurückgreifen.
