Kulturvergleichende Psychologie: Gegenstand, theoretische Konzepte und Perspektiven

Zusammenfassung

Im Zuge der Globalisierung nehmen kulturvergleichende und interkulturelle Forschung stark zu. Für ein Verständnis der Methoden und Schlussfolgerungen dieser Studien ist ein Grundlegendes Verständnis der Paradigmen interkultureller Psychologie notwendig. Das folgende Kapitel beschreibt daher den Gegenstand, theoretische Konzepte und Perspektiven der Kulturvergleichenden Psychologie. Zu einen werden Kulturvergleichende und Kulturpsychologie als Perspektiven voneinander abgegrenzt. Des Weiteren wird diskutiert, inwiefern Kultur überhaupt als ein operationalisierbares Konstrukt betrachtet werden kann und die Ziele, sowie der generelle konzeptuelle Rahmen der kulturvergleichenden Psychologie erörtert. Daraus ergeben sich die zugrunde liegenden Paradigmen der kulturvergleichenden Psychologie. Das folgende Kapitel möchte damit eine Grundlage für das Verständnis interkultureller psychologischer Forschung schaffen.
